HINA

Sharing her name with a deity of the moon known throughout Polynesia, HINA is the creative mantle of Tāmaki Makaurau songwriter Amy Boroevich (Te Rarawa, Ngāti Raukawa).

Following the independent release of two projects, ‘Muse’ and ‘Omen’, HINA has charmed audiences across Aotearoa. Performing sold out headline shows in beloved local venues like the former Wine Cellar and Q Theatre, to garnering widespread acclaim for performances at the Auckland Arts Festival, Te Papa Tongarewa (Wellington) and Forsyth Barr Stadium (Dunedin), HINA captivates patrons and punters alike. In the glowing embers of her work thus far, whispers of HINA’s debut album for autumn promise honeyed compositions of intimate expression, lilting melodies, and dreamlike lyricism.

Surfacing for the Auckland Folk Festival 2025 to share precious offerings from the upcoming album, this is the low hum of an artist fashioning a world into which we will soon be invited.
